oh it did rain, oh the temperature did drop, but there was a parade!!!
amazingly the parade was supposed to begin at 6:45. at 6:45 torrental downpours began for about 10-15 mins delaying the parade for about a half hour. im still not sure where everyone took cover, we hid in the shelter of the abandoned store front i love. we could see that a local bank opened its doors and alot of people went in there. and state sentator andy dinnaman let as many people who could fit in his office. he was alos handing out these cute lemon or peppermint sticks, since he just opened his office in a former candy shop.
