max and i devised an experiment to see if we could get some cherry pits to grow mold.
i think this all started because the kids wanted to plant some cherry seeds but the ground is frozen solid.
so we have 4 cherry pits in a dish covered with saran wrap in the microwave with the light on- its very warm in there and the saran wrap will keep in moisture. We also have 4 pits in an uncovered dish on the window ledge. we believe the sun will dry them and the cool draft will also dry them.
this would probably work better in the summer. i guess at least im getting my moneys worth of buying cherries mid-winter.
