who plants a pricker bush? and wants it trimmed 2x a year!!

there's one between my house and mrs.r she asked that we try our side of it since the garden tour is sunday. hey no problem anything to help out. im not even being sarcastic!
then shawn says we dont have an electric hedge trimmer- we borrowed his dad's last year. well no problem there wasnt always electric hedge trimmers right?
i'll just use a pair a hand held- old fashion just the way i like it!

i also stepped back to admire my work and holy cow if i didnt cut that bush into a MULLET!!!!!!!
not only that its two-toned!
ahh now i have to clean up all the trimmings and get the thorn un-embedded from my thumb
