WHAT A WORLD

someone posted the following stoy on my online mother support board...
So, my son (4) goes to preschool two days a week and has been going for about 2 years. There are a lot of kids in the class, and I try to be friendly to all that I see. There is a woman that I see with a girl the same age and she had a baby about the same time as me. Anyway, we see her at the Y today and she is coming in while I am leaving. I say Hi, and smile at the little girl. She gives me a Da#ning look, flips me off and says guess your not concerned that your son will go to war and die so you can drive your SUV. Ok, I was so blown away I just said "whatever" and start to walk away and she YELLS "then don't worry about spending money on swim lessons, it is a waste...he is going to die anyway."

I AM SO MAD, so upset that I didn't say anything. I have been thinking of it for 30 mintes and would love to read her the riot act. You know, I don't what your political views are they do not give you the right to be rude and mean, and hurtful. I told my son (who now wants to know when he is going to die) that she was kidding and to not worry about it, that I wouldn't let anything happen to him.

her story is upseting enough but so many relpies she recieved from other moms, told her she should tell the woman off, and that these other moms love their SUV's and what does driving a SUV have to do with the war.
i dont like SUV's either and i feel that SUV's are in part, responsible for the high price of gas these days. i also think they make the roads less safe for those driving smaller cars and in general not nessecary. phew, kristi's vent made me need to vent. and if anyone is interested here is the complete thread.
