i broke it to the kids the mother bird wasnt coming back to the nest. i gave some reasons like maybe she was hurt, or something happened and she couldnt come back. max was pretty upset and cried. we decided to bury the eggs in the garden near my lamb statue since its such peaceful reminder of my brother & nephews who passed away. maxwell was pretty happy with that idea and decided to keep the nest for a little bit and was happy to see some of my yarn bits were in it!
