a few days ago i found myself wondering about a "pay it forward" i had started in june. i dont remember all the ins and outs but it started when i gave my sister, cynthia, a pair of new white underwear to wear under her gradution dress. it went all through there, amongst my sisters, i cant really remember who gave what, who got what ( if anyone else does post it). so i was sitting in traffic thinking about all this and wondered where all the goodwill ended. had it ended?
then last night it came back to me!
at the studio where i knit, there was an elephant bank that i loved. i found out that the owner, kathy had painted it. i asked her if i could buy the bank to give to audrey. and she just gave it to me for free. as i was holding it, so many people walked by and said " i always loved that little elephant" and kathy said it was true my offer to buy it wasnt the first. but that she wanted me to have it for free and even said "just pay it forward". not only do i have an elephant for audrey now, but also a date set with kathy so she can show me how to paint another which i will give to her!
